Most of my business comes from my graphic design work, logos, web and print advertising. In short, my technical skills takes a front seat to the artist out back. To use graphic design well, there’s a balance between the technical and the esthetic.
I used my photographic works posted at Photogeoia in an email campaign for a local company. The campaign was themed “enjoy local”. I knoew I had local images. The same painterly style was also commissioned for a fundraiser invitation. It’s finding these opportunities to create an image specifically for the campaign which makes this work fun.
Generally people like the work. Fine art, when integrated with commercial design adds depth. Art goes beyond technical skills. It tells us something more than hard sell.
