Selective Marketing
Don’t Cry for Me Chocolate
Put a few things together and give it a storyline. The inspiration for this photo is selling and marketing chocolate. The story is in the title, “Don’t Cry for Me Chocolate”.
We hear a lot of marketing propaganda. How to eat, what to look like, what car to drive. Product marketing to get us to make decisions to buy. Decisions based on happiness.
If the fat doesn’t get you, the sugar will.
I used to eat a lot of chocolate. I slowed this consumption once I found out how much fat there is in a single truffle. Chocolate is bad. You know it.
But if you have to sell it, chocolate is good for you. Even if it’s only the microscopic parts of its purest form (before processing and adding fat and sugar). It helps with depression. Prevents cancer (ha). It makes you happy. You will feel good about eating it sometime in the future. That’s selective marketing.
